A Celebration of Scottish Heritage
One of our distinctive traditions is the Kirkin' o' the Tartan, a special worship celebration honoring the Scottish heritage of Presbyterianism.
The ceremony includes the blessing of tartans, the traditional plaid patterns associated with Scottish families and clans.
At Alpena Presbyterian Church, this celebration has also included a special Scottish tea, bringing people together for fellowship and a celebration of heritage.
Making Memories Together. Our congregation has enjoyed activities such as the Birthday Cake Auction, summer gatherings, and other special events.
